HUNDREDS ATTEND WELLNESS DAY AT NO4 ST PAUL’S SQUARE

Leading commercial property manager, Aberdeen Standard Investments, has shown it is one of the most progressive landlords in the country after hundreds of people attended its hugely successful ‘Wellness Wednesday’ event in Liverpool.

Held at the city’s premier business address, No 4 St Paul’s Square, the free health and wellness day saw experts in exercise, stress management and nutrition all gather under one roof to offer free guidance, advice and demonstrations to workers and executives.

Productive workforce

More traditional commercial landlords will sell their available office space mainly on the basis of the physical attributes of the accommodation.

But Aberdeen, along with its partner agencies CBRE and Worthington Owen, has become aware that potential occupiers now look for much more than air conditioning and nice carpets.

They want to know their staff will be coming to work in a healthy, positive environment where mental health and stress management are recognised as essential to a happier and more productive workforce.

Hundreds attend

This message was underlined at the event on Wednesday, May 30, which saw hundreds of local workers take a break from their desks to find out about the many different ways they can be healthier and happier in their workplace.

And an afternoon session saw an invited audience of business leaders hear short talks from wellness experts who offered ideas on how they can better manage their teams.

Mark Briggs, senior portfolio manager at Aberdeen Standard Investments, said:

This event was not a one-off but rather the first in a series of events to demonstrate our commitment to the wellbeing agenda.”

New tenants

CBRE Liverpool director Neil Kirkham, joint agents at No 4 St Paul’s Square along with Worthington Owen, added:

The Wellness Wednesday event at No4 St Paul’s Square was the first in a series of events that will form an inclusive wellness programme, overseen by agents CBRE and Worthington Owen. CBRE will host a further event with a focus on wellness as part of their Envirolive programme on July 6th.
